New kiosk offer free flu and COVID tests in Sunnyside

Apr. 11—A new kiosk has free flu and COVID-19 tests in Sunnyside.

The kiosk is outside the Fiesta Foods in Sunnyside located at 2010 Yakima Valley Highway, according to a Yakima Health District news release. It has at-home COVID-19 rapid tests, COVID-19 PCR self-tests and flu self-tests.

Community members can access the kiosk 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Washington State Department of Health, in collaboration with the health district, installed the kiosk as part of a statewide initiative announced in February.

"We are happy to continue to partner with Fiesta Foods to help promote public health initiatives," said Andre Fresco, executive director for the Yakima Health District. "Together, along with Washington State Department of Health, we are taking proactive steps to ensure community members have accessible and timely testing options."
